I had the pleasure of visiting the spa recently and left feeling ultra-relaxed and pampered from my treatments. I was treated to a manicure and a specialist massage which left me feeling rejuvenated and stress free.
Upon arriving at Soulstice Day Spa Johannesburg I was escorted to the change rooms where I was given a soft and sumptuous robe and slippers to change in to. From there I was escorted to my treatment room for my Imvelo African Massage. This massage starts with the therapist preparing the room with scented humidified air, music, and colour therapy lights of your choice. Each coloured light helps achieve a different result - blue for a calming effect, red to invigorate, purple to sooth, etc.
The Imvelo African Massage includes stretching, deep kneading and stroking massage techniques to restore the body's natural balance, reduce tension and relieve insomnia and headaches. The treatment is 105 minutes and costs R750.
After my massage I was treated to a Shellac manicure. The manicure is unique in that it uses a gel nail polish that is set using a UV lamp. The polish lasts about two weeks and is incredibly strong - I've been wearing mine chip-free for two weeks now! The treatment is R200 and takes 30 minutes.
After my treatments I was invited to make use of the incredible facilities at the spa. Guests are permitted to make use of the spa's cool water pools, heated rock pool, sensation shower, heated jet spa, and sauna, and steam room before or after treatments.
The spa is open:
Monday - Friday 8.00am - 7.00pm
Saturdays 8.00am - 5.00pm
Sundays 9.00am - 5.00pm
