The story of Dermalogica started in 1983 when Jane Wurwand brought continuing and comprehensive skin care techniques to USA. The journey started off in 1983 but what thwarted Jane time and again was the lack of the concept of maintaining skin health to augment beauty. The focus was on ‘beauty’ rather than ‘health’. Naturally the market lacked products that could cater to the health and healing aspect. In 1986 she designed her own product line Dermalogica that focused on skin care rather than beauty. The products are free of ingredients that could cause breakouts like mineral oil, lanolin, artificial colors and fragrances.

It basically is Dermalogica’s answer to the quest for a healthier skin tone – hyper oxygenate it to remove the pollutants that damage skin.
